The Alpha forged 2.4 LE5 racing shortblock utilizes the much upgraded GEN 3 block. GM did it right with this revision. Wave goodbye to all of the short-comings in the GEN 2 block! Anything over 450HP we recommend the use of our GEN 3 block upgrade. It has supported over 600HP and 100 shot of nitrous through our rigorous R&D! We have yet to see a block failure with the GEn 3 upgrade.

This is the option for most folks wanting the best of the best and to 'overbuild' for their hot-road, boat, or sand car. Our prices includes a core charge, so no need to worry about shipment of your core.
