Product Description:

The Alpha forged 2.4 LE5 racing shortblock utilizes the well rounded GEN 2 block as it's core. From our years of R&D we recommend using this block up to 450HP. Over this HP level we typically see block failure due to lack of strength in the number 4 cylinder gusseting.

However, this is a solid option for most folks wanting to push the power limits of their hot-road, boat, or sand car. This power level is similar to what you would find with a camm'd LS3!  Our prices includes a core charge, so no need to worry about shipment of your core.
